—David Keating on How HR1 Curtails Free Speech

Last week the U.S.House of Representatives approved HR1, the Democrats’ sweeping election reform package. Many are focused on how the bill changes campaign finance laws, supposedly to reduce the influence of money on politics. However, perhaps we should concentrate more on how this bill restricts our ability as Americans to speak out against our government thereby violating our First Amendment rights.
